Press was notified that water burst from under two manhole covers of Király street on Monday morning.
In Király street, between the Széchenyi István Grammar School and the former Képcsarnok, the street was flooded with brownish water. In connection with the case, the press contacted Tettye Forrásház Zrt. They were informed that this was a pipe break and according to their information no sewage had burst from under the casing.
Company staff are already working to fix the problem. As it was reported, a 200 mm diameter drinking water main pipe was broken under Király street, the damaged section was excluded from the network. The section of the main street between Kazinczy street and Lyceum street cannot be reached by cars during the works, but pedestrian traffic is still allowed there.
