On Saturday morning, in Zala county, on the main road number 74, at the junction of Csatár, a pickup truck and a minibus collided under circumstances that have not yet been clarified. A 45-year-old woman from Nagykanizsa died in the accident.
A 55-year-old man from Csatár was driving a van from Bocfölde in the direction of Csatár, and when he reached main road no. 74, he did not give priority to the minibus transporting workers coming from Nagykanizsa. In the minibus, the driver was transporting three passengers.
The two vehicles collided, and a 45-year-old woman from Nagykanizsa fell out of the minibus, despite wearing her seat belt. She was hit by the vehicle and died on the spot.
Among the passengers of the minibus, one other person was seriously injured and two people were lightly injured. The driver of the truck escaped the crash unscathed.
The police have completed the on-site inspection and the technical rescue has also ended. Traffic restrictions have been lifted on the affected road section.
