The quality of patient care can be significantly improved at the Pécs Children’s Clinic thanks to the modern device, the host University of Pécs (PTE) told MTI on Thursday.
More than a thousand examinations will be performed annually with the device already operating at the Pediatric Clinic of the Clinical Center of the University of Pécs, and in addition to urological examinations, it will also be possible to develop general radiological diagnostics.
The machine, which costs six million forints and was purchased with the support of K&H, MVM and Budapest Bank, can also help examine patients with abdominal surgical diseases, such as abdominal tumors, appendicitis and gallstones.
With the new device it is possible to display the urinary system continuously, in high resolution, to archive them and upload them to a central system. This is essential not only for traceability and control, but also for the scientific processing of the results obtained in the patients treated.
