In 2018 in Hungary, in 2019 in Europe the almond tree was selected as “Tree of the Year”.
In Hungary, in 2018, the almond tree on the top of Mount Havas at the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pécs was selected as the Tree of the Year. The winning almond tree of Pécs, the tree with a twisted trunk, more than 100 years old, was also named European Tree of the Year in February, 2019.
Now, in March, 2020 the almond tree is blooming again.
